Firefighters from two counties battled a single  garage fire today in Menellen Township, Adams County.

Donkey Perishes In Barn Fire

Fire fighters from several Adams County departments battled a small barn fire Friday evening on the Carlisle Pike in Huntington Township. One pet donkey named “Donkey” perished in the fire according to the owner on scene. Investigation into the cause is continuing.

Restaurant Burns In New Oxford

Firefighters from two counties battle a two alarm fire Monday morning at the old Keystone Diner along Route 30 just east of Cross Keys. Units arrived to find heavy fire conditions on the C-D corner of the single story, unoccupied restaurant.

Working Fire In York Springs

Firemen battled a working  fire Wednesday evening around 20:00 hours  in Huntington Township near York Springs Pa. Originally dispatched as a garage fire, a firefighter responding POV advised Adams 911 center of a working house fire with fire visible from the roof. Photo by contributing photographer Curt Werner

The 24 Hour Fire

dsc_1366A propane truck rolled over, slitting open and caught fire early Wednesday morning in Jackson Township, York County along Lake Road. Firefighters arrived to find a truck over the guard rail on fire with the driver in the cab. A fire police officer assisted the driver to safety. Fire Departments from at least two counties were and are still on scene for 24 hours while the fire “burns itself out”. York County Haz Mat was also on scene. Photo gallery by Bryan Felix

House Fire With Burn Victim

14882305_1321489017890608_403551604655635658_oAdams County Box 10-9 was alerted Wednesday evening for the house fire on Carlisle Pike, just north of the village of Hampton. Units arrived to a working fire in an attached garage that was spread into the rancher style home. One adult male was flown from the scene to Baltimore with burns. The fire marshal was investigating.
