New Oxford Kitchen Fire

A fireman from the first due engine company makes entry into the kitchen of the one story single family dwelling Sunday afternoon on Elm Lane in Oxford Township, New Oxford Pa. Units found a kitchen fire with smoke throughout. The family escaped with their two pet dogs.

York City Working Fire

On Friday, March 3, 2017, at 1444 hours, units from York City Fire/Rescue were dispatched to 283 West Cottage Place, York City, for a residential structure fire. Assistant Chief Altland (Chief 99-2) and Captain Smith (Captain 99-5) arrived to find smoke showing from a three-story, middle-of-a-row two-unit apartment building. Fire in the Attic on arrival

A Lunchtime Box Alarm was sounded on Jan 9th 2017 for a House Fire on March Creek Road just south of Gettysburg. Firefighters arrived to find this 1.5 story dwelling with Smoke showing from the roof. Firefighters made quick work of extinguishing the fire. Departments on the scene are listed in the tags below.

Chambersburg Garage Fire

Units were alerted to Franklin County  1-01 at 06:16 this morning across from 71 Horst Avenue for a garage fire. Franklin County advised responding units 2 calls received of a single story 4-6 bay garage on fire, Co.1 units arrived confirming the information with fire showing from one of the middle bays. Co.1 along with mutual departments brought the fire under control within 15 minutes. Crews worked overhaul for about an hour before Command 1 reduced the Box to Co.1.

House Fire With Burn Victim

14882305_1321489017890608_403551604655635658_oAdams County Box 10-9 was alerted Wednesday evening for the house fire on Carlisle Pike, just north of the village of Hampton. Units arrived to a working fire in an attached garage that was spread into the rancher style home. One adult male was flown from the scene to Baltimore with burns. The fire marshal was investigating. RV Fire with Extension to the House

Gettysburg Firefighters along with mutual aid departments find a well involved RV fire in the driveway next to a house. A quick knock down by Engine 1-2 kept the fire from spreading past the siding of the house. Firefighters worked for 30 minutes before returning to service. Chief Shank had command.
