United Hook and Ladder firefighters responded to a reported auto accident with entrapment on Friday afternoon at the entrance to the Bridges Golf Course on the York Road. EMS arrived to find one occupant still on the car, not entrapped.

Another big crash at the intersection of Carlisle Pike and 700 Road this afternoon where three vehicles including two commercial trucks collided with one of them hauling golf carts smashing through the automotive repair building causing extensive damages to the building. Several fire departments, three ambulances, medic units, helicopters and the Pennsylvania State Police responded to a near head-on accident on the Carlisle Pike (Route 94) at the intersection of 700 Road. A passenger SUV and a commercial truck collided, causing heavy entrapment and severe life threatening injuries to the passengers of the SUV. Two occupants from the SUV were flown via Stat13 and Life Lion helicopters to area trauma centers.

Several cars collided at the intersection of Carlisle Pike and York Road Sunday afternoon while light rain fell on the area. United Hook and Ladder firefighters were busy on another accident scene when this happened. The engines and rescue cleared the first crash to respond to this one where it appeared only one person was injured and being tended to by EMS and a passing EMT who stopped to assist. Pennsylvania State police were on scene investigating.

Heavy smoke pours from burning mobile home on Browns Dam Road in New Oxford Pa, near Hampton in the Stockholm Mobile Home Park. Company 10 Engine 10-1 arrived to a fully involved mobile home where the occupants self evacuated prior to their arrival.

A half dozen firefighters from United Hook and Ladder extinguished an approximately one acre of burning field on Cedar Road in Hamilton Township, New Oxford Sunday morning. The ground is extremely saturated after nearly five inches of rain recently yet the combustibles on top is dry as a bone.
