Mini Van Hits Pole

Crash In Hanover Borough

911 Photography caught a ride on engine 46-1 today for a crash just up the street from the Wirt Park fire house. Units arrived to find a two car collision with the occupant injured in the silver SUV. EMS49 transported one to Hanover Hospital, fire department did fluid control and fire police kept everyone safe. Hanover Borough PD investigated.

Car Under School Bus


Several fire departments, EMS units and Pennsylvania State Police responded early this morning just before 8am for a vehicle accident where a passenger car went under the rear of school bus. The first chief officer to arrive on scene confirmed heavy entrapment, requested aeromedical to the scene. As the first rescue company arrived, three additional rescue companies were added to the assignment, as well as the Pennsylvania USAR truck. A 58 minute extrication was needed to free the lone occupant. The bus had one student on board who was not injured. The injured occupant of the car was flown to York Hospital where sadly she succumbed to her injuries.

Coroner Called To Red Carpet Inn


Engine 49-2 staged in front of the Red Carpet Inn motel after the Hanover and Penn Township Fire Departments responded around 07:30 hours Thursday morning for a structure fire at the local motel at 1080 Carlisle Street in Hanover borough. Units arrived to no fire but did find a deceased person in one of the motel rooms. Hanover police and fire department personnel as well as the York County Coroners office are investigating.

Tony Clousher Sworn In As Deputy Chief

_swearingIn_webTony Clousher takes the oath of office for Deputy Fire Chief from Hanover Mayor Wednesday evening. Clousher was appointed Deputy Fire Chief of the Hanover and Penn Township Fire Departments. Clousher was promoted from captain to the newly created Deputy Fire Chief position. Looking on is retired Hanover Fire Department Commissioner James Roth and current Fire Chief Jan Cromer.

2nd Alarm House Fire


A lit, unattended gas grill on the rear porch of this single family home on Collins Circle in Penn Township, Hanover Pa. Sunday evening left this family homeless. Hanover and Penn Township firefighters arrived to find fire through the roof of the attached garage. Several other neighboring departments assisted on this two alarm fire.
