Several York And Adams County fire departments operated at this well involved house fire this afternoon in Paradise Township on Maple Grove Road. A close call happened as seen in photos 1117-1133, the front wall collapsed nearly striking firefighters. The fire was placed under control in about one hour. This is the second time firefighters have responded to this property for fires, the first time was for a fully involved garage to the left of the this structure. The home owner told the police officers on scene, he was burning debris and it got away from him. this was the second house fire of the day for most of the firefighters on this incident.

York County Box 46-05 was struck for a structure fire at 215 Carlisle Street ( Niki’s Sports Nook ) in Hanover Borough Monday evening at 20:58 hrs.. Engine 46-1 arrived to heavy fire showing from a two story apartment to the rear of 217 Carlisle Street. The engine companies made fast work of this fire, and considering the exposures were an occupied apartment building, and another house, great work was done to prevent the extension of this fire. Hanover was assisted by Penn Township, Pleasant Hill, and United Hook and Ladder, along with Penn Township EMS. The Hanover Police and Fire Departments are investigating the cause.
