Frederick County firefighters battled this apartment fire early this morning at 0640 hours located at Detrick Plaza 1701 W 7th St.. Inits arrived to find fire on 3rd floor balcony taking them 25 mins to knock, $20K damage, cause of fire determined to be improperly discarded smoking materials. Photos submitted

Fatal Fire In Emmitsburg Md.

DSC_0052Firefighters in Frederick County Maryland responded Monday morning for a reported house fire with reports of occupants trapped, just doors away from the Emmitsburg Fire Department. Personnel found and removed three victims in the burning building. The fire claimed the life of one on scene, and two others were transported to hospitals, one being flown to a burn center. 2nd Alarm Fire In Emmittsburg Md.

Frederick County Maryland Box 6-1 was struck just before 15:00 hours today for fire visible at Pauls Pit Stop 100 block of  South Seton  Avenue in Emmittsburg. The fire went to two alarms in a multiple family dwelling bringing firefighters from two states, three counties, Frederick, Carroll and Adams. Photos submitted by FF Tom Carr.

Frederick County Md. 2nd Alarm

Thursday morning, 0500 (A shift) Box Alarm 2-3 was sounded for the commercial building fire with fire showing at 259 E 7th Street (Dairy Maid dairy) in Uptown Frederick (MD). Engine companies 2, 3, 1, 50, 31, Trucks 4 and 1, Rescue company 3, and Ambulance 28.
First arriving units went on scene with heavy smoke and fire visible from the Charlie side loading dock area,  The Rapid intervention dispatch was requested, followed closely thereafter by the second alarm.
