Snow and Fire in Fayetteville

20160215_181141-1Early Monday evening while Mother Nature was dropping yet more snow upon us, Franklin County 911 Center was alerting a house fire on E. Main Street in Fayetteville Pa. The first arriving unit reported fire through the roof on the Charlie Side of the one story single family dwelling. Units from Franklin and Adams Counties battled the blaze. Working Fire In Chambersburg Pa.

Sunday morning the Chambersburg Fire Department was dispatched to Redwood Street in Chambersburg Borough for the reported house fire. Franklin Co House Fire with a Mayday Called

Another Franklin County Barn Fire

Franklin County Box 44-03 was alerted at 23:46 hours across from 3448 Letterkenny Road for a working barn fire, with several calls received and fire visible from the 911 Center the Working Fire Dispatch was added on the initial. Crews arrived to a 100’ x 100’ barn fully involved, put lines in service protecting an adjoining exposure with cattle in it and extinguishing small spot fires in the wood area around the barn. Two dump tanks were set up at the end of the lane and a water supply was established at a hydrant in front of Co. 13 (Letterkenny FD), once water supply was established the Ladder Pipe was put into service for overhaul. Crews operated on scene for several hours with the last unit clearing at 05:43 hrs.

Rope Rescue Of Canine

A firefighter from the Franklin’s Volunteer Fire Department located in Chambersburg Pa. hold on tightly to a dog that he just rescue from a quarry. The dog either fell or jumped over the wall of the quarry and landed in the very cold water. Firefighters used a rope rescue operation to successfully return the dog to it’s owner. Photo Gallery Here.
