Fire Showing In New Oxford

FIre1A fire broke out today just before 14:00 hours in the one hundred block of Lincoln Way East in New Oxford Borough. EARP Honors Lieutenant Mike Trostle’s Retirement

Trostle

Lieutenant Mike Trostle from the Eastern Adams Regional Police Department was honored for his 20 years of service with the department recently. Lt Trostle retired over 2 years ago, however with all the conflicts of the department during that time was not recognized as he should have been. Several of Lt Trostle’s fellow Officer’s from within EARP and the surrounding Police Agencies attended the recognition. Lt Trostle was said by many as one of the best. He acted as the Police Chief several times during some management changes of the last few years of his career. EARP officers spoke about how he was a true leader and will be missed. Best of Luck to you Mike !

Honoring Their Fallen

SALUTEA police officer and firefighter from the Eastern Adams Regional Police and United Hook and Ladder Fire Department salute after placing a wreath at the newly constructed monument to honor their fallen brothers and sisters. The monument was donated and constructed to honor the three police officers and two firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty serving and protecting the New Oxford communities. Police Officers Make Rescue

Eastern Adams Regional Police officers Mulder (left) and Kitzmiller make a rescue of unresponsive man in a burning New Oxford home early Saturday morning. The United Hook And Ladder Fire Dept. along with the EARPS were notified of the house fire. The two officers arrived to fire showing from the roof of the single family home with a report of a man inside possibly in the basement sleeping. Both officers made entry to the home, finding smoke throughout the home as well as heavy fire conditions in the ceiling of the kitchen area. Searching, finding the steps to the basement, officer Mulder located the unresponsive man, (either sleeping or passed out). Officer Mulder awakened the man and led him to safety outside prior to the fire departments arrival. Photo Gallery Here
