Fatal Fire In Buchanan Valley

Adams County box 27-3 was alerted today at 12:32 hours for the reported house fire with entrapment. Company 27 arrived on scene with a well involved mobile home with reports of one elderly female trapped inside. Snow and Fire in Fayetteville

20160215_181141-1Early Monday evening while Mother Nature was dropping yet more snow upon us, Franklin County 911 Center was alerting a house fire on E. Main Street in Fayetteville Pa. The first arriving unit reported fire through the roof on the Charlie Side of the one story single family dwelling. Units from Franklin and Adams Counties battled the blaze. Arendtsville Saw Mill Burns


Thursday morning at 03;43 hours, Adams County Box 5-7 pre-alert was sounded for a building fire at 1240 Nawakwa Road in Menallen Township.
Crews responded to the Mountain Valley Farms for the second time in two years. Company 5 units arrived to a well involved 50×100 saw mill on fire.
A working fire dispatch was immediately struck followed by a second alarm shortly after. Crews remained on scene for several hours as well as the fire marshal investigating. Photographers Bryan Felix and Steve Roth captures this gallery of photos.

Buchannon Valley House Fire

CBURGRd1Adams and Franklin County Volunteer Fire Departments operated at this working house fire this afternoon along the Chambersburg Highway (US Rt 30). Engine 27 arrived to find fire out several windows on the first floor. The fire was held to the working fire assignment. Second Mont Alto Barn Fire


Sunday afternoon at 16:48 hours, Box 5-02 was struck to the rear of Crackers Bar for a barn fire. Captain 5 arrived on scene shortly after with a working fire outside / against a barn spreading rapidly. This was the 2nd barn fire in Company 5’s first due are this weekend. Mont Alto Barn Fire


Box 5-01 was struck for a barn fire w/ several calls received. Truck 17 arrived with a fully involved barn and several exposures, units from Co.5 & 7 laid supply line back the lane and began protecting exposures until a water supply was established. 2 dump tanks were set up at the end of the lane and an additional water supply set up at a near-by hydrant. The fire was brought under control within an hour and crews worked a little over 2 ½ hrs performing overhaul operations. Brian Denham Photo Gallery
