Pickup Truck Over Guardrails

A pickup traveling north on Kohler Mill Road in Oxford Township crashed,  taking out horse fencing at the horse farm, jumping the guard rails and eventually landing on the guide wires. Converted Barn Burns Near Bendersville

Adams County Box 7-2 was struck late Friday evening for a barn fire in the 1100 block of the  Bendersville-Wenksville Road in Menallen Township. The assignment was upgraded to a working fire then a 2nd alarm for a barn converted to an apartment building with reported entrapment. Car Fire Damages Home

Firefighters from the Marion Fire Department in Franklin County battled this car fire this morning in near zero temperatures at 6283 Molly Pitcher Highway. Station 8’s engine arrived to an auto off next to the house with very light damage to the garage due to fast work by firefighters. The clump in front of  the wagon is the cars airbag that blew out of the vehicle after  the fire departments arrival. Photos by Curtis Bryan

Woman Rescued From Burning Home

Just before dawn Wednesday morning, Franklin County 911 center dispatched a house fire on South Mountain Road in Quincy Township. South Mountain fire chief Mike Carbaugh arrived to find a 69 year old female unconscious in the home, making the grab and removing her to the years as engine companies began arriving. Firefighters had the fire knocked within ten-fifteen minutes while EMS transported the victim to a helicopter for flight to a hospital for smoke inhalation. Firefighters from two counties battled the morning fire. Photos used with permission by Franklin’s Fire Dept.

Car Crashes Avoiding Deer

One subject was transported to a Maryland hospital with minor injuries after the vehicle they were in swerved to avoid striking a few deer. The car struck the guide rail along the Shepherdstown Pike near Boonsboro Maryland in Washington County. Photo submitted
