New Oxford Kitchen Fire

A fireman from the first due engine company makes entry into the kitchen of the one story single family dwelling Sunday afternoon on Elm Lane in Oxford Township, New Oxford Pa. Units found a kitchen fire with smoke throughout. The family escaped with their two pet dogs.

Chicken House Fire Kills 100k Birds

Firefighters from at least three counties battled a large chicken house fire early Saturday morning on Oxford Road  in Tyrone Township, Adams County. It has been reported over 100,000 live chickens perished in the fire that started just before 6:00AM. Firefighters battled the fire in very humid and high temperature conditions, two injuries were reported to firefighters.

Restaurant Burns In New Oxford

Firefighters from two counties battle a two alarm fire Monday morning at the old Keystone Diner along Route 30 just east of Cross Keys. Units arrived to find heavy fire conditions on the C-D corner of the single story, unoccupied restaurant.

Fully Involved In Gettysburg Pa. 


Firefighters from several Adams County Pennsylvania departments were dispatched Thursday at 00:32 hours for a house fire on Sherman Drive in Mt Joy Township. First arriving units arrived to a fully involved single family dwelling that began collapsing shortly after arrival.  Firefighters went with a defensive attack mode. Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal was requested to the scene.

York City Working Fire

On Friday, March 3, 2017, at 1444 hours, units from York City Fire/Rescue were dispatched to 283 West Cottage Place, York City, for a residential structure fire. Assistant Chief Altland (Chief 99-2) and Captain Smith (Captain 99-5) arrived to find smoke showing from a three-story, middle-of-a-row two-unit apartment building. 2 Alarm Fire at The Ox

Firemen from Adams and York Counties battled this multiple alarm commercial building  fire today at The Ox, an old, once popular and now closed night club along the York Road in Oxford Township. Firefighters arrived to find light smoke and fire from the roof on the A-D corner, once firefighters began opening up, the fire spread rapidly through the common cockloft.
