Hanover Borough 2nd Alarm Fire

A report of smoke in the area turned out to be a working garage fire on East Chestnut Street in Hanover Borough Tuesday evening. Firefighters battled the 2nd alarm fire in heavy smoke conditions.

Working Fire In York Springs

Firemen battled a working  fire Wednesday evening around 20:00 hours  in Huntington Township near York Springs Pa. Originally dispatched as a garage fire, a firefighter responding POV advised Adams 911 center of a working house fire with fire visible from the roof. Photo by contributing photographer Curt Werner

Chambersburg Garage Fire

Units were alerted to Franklin County  1-01 at 06:16 this morning across from 71 Horst Avenue for a garage fire. Franklin County advised responding units 2 calls received of a single story 4-6 bay garage on fire, Co.1 units arrived confirming the information with fire showing from one of the middle bays. Co.1 along with mutual departments brought the fire under control within 15 minutes. Crews worked overhaul for about an hour before Command 1 reduced the Box to Co.1.

House Fire With Burn Victim

14882305_1321489017890608_403551604655635658_oAdams County Box 10-9 was alerted Wednesday evening for the house fire on Carlisle Pike, just north of the village of Hampton. Units arrived to a working fire in an attached garage that was spread into the rancher style home. One adult male was flown from the scene to Baltimore with burns. The fire marshal was investigating. Snakes and Firefighting Shouldn’t   Mix

Cameraman Curt Werner captured a crazy photo this morning near York Springs Pa. at a working garage fire. What appears to be an Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake was just hanging around on the fireground. No word if the snake was real,  alive or not, but way to close for our liking for sure.
