Woman Rescued From Burning Home

Just before dawn Wednesday morning, Franklin County 911 center dispatched a house fire on South Mountain Road in Quincy Township. South Mountain fire chief Mike Carbaugh arrived to find a 69 year old female unconscious in the home, making the grab and removing her to the years as engine companies began arriving. Firefighters had the fire knocked within ten-fifteen minutes while EMS transported the victim to a helicopter for flight to a hospital for smoke inhalation. Firefighters from two counties battled the morning fire. Photos used with permission by Franklin’s Fire Dept.

New Years Day House Fire

Firefighters from Maryland and Pennsylvania battled a well involved house fire New Years Day in close to zero temperatures on Three Ponds Lane in Manheim Pa. The original  dispatch was  for a house fire with entrapment, which proved negative. They arrived to heavy fire. The home was a total loss.

Frederick County firefighters battled this apartment fire early this morning at 0640 hours located at Detrick Plaza 1701 W 7th St.. Inits arrived to find fire on 3rd floor balcony taking them 25 mins to knock, $20K damage, cause of fire determined to be improperly discarded smoking materials. Photos submitted

UPS Burns in Frederick

At approximately 2345 on 12-4-17 Frederick County Maryland box alarm 31-12 sounded for the building fire at the UPS distribution center on English Muffin Way. First arriving units AOS to find multiple (10) vehicles and the building involved in fire. Water supply established, and lines stretched as companies went to work.
