Double Entrapment In Gettysburg

Gettysburg Firefighters were dispatched this afternoon for an auto accident reported with entrapment. Firefighters arrived to find two autos with two people trapped. Deputy Chief Wasylyk assumed command and requested a 2nd & 3rd Rescue to assist with extrication. Numerous EMS agencies assisted including Life Lion and Life Net Medevacs.  Gettysburg Fire Department was assisted by Barlow and United Hook & Ladder Rescues, Biglerville and Adams Regional EMS as well as PSP.  Photos by Ed Mizenko

Three Trapped In Denver Pa.

3rdalarmThe initial dispatch was for the apartment building on fire with three persons trapped on a balcony. Denver fire chief arrived confirming working fire and entrapment.  The fire  went three alarms overnight and all three persons were brought to safety.

Several Tractor Trailers Crash Near Dillsburg Pa.

Several tractor-trailer trucks collided Monday afternoon in the north bound lane just short of Dillsburg blocking traffic for several hours. One truck driver was flown from the scene via Life Lion helicopter. This crash happened nearly simultaneous to a fully involved motor home and Jeep fire in the same lane of the highway, just one mile or so ahead of this crash. Entrapment On The Lincoln Highway

Fatal Mobile Home Fire In Littlestown

Just before 03:00 hrs, Adams County Box 20-4 was struck for the house fire with entrapment on the Frederick Pike in Germany Township, Littlestown Pa. Chief 20 arrived on scene and immediately requested working fire dispatch. After the fire was marked under control, firefighters could get inside to search, sadly, a victim was found deceased among the rubble.  The Adams County Coroners office as well as PSP fire marshal is investigating. This fire was is the third fatal house fire in two weeks in Adams County. Photos submitted
