Double Entrapment In New Oxford

One Pinned Under Tractor

Adams County Box 1-9 was dispatched to 1655 Highland Ave Rd, for a report of a overturned farm tractor. Medic 54 arrived on scene and found same. Gettysburg Rescue & Truck responded along with Barlow Rescue 22. Units utilized airbags along with rescue struts and cribbing to free male patient. Units operated for about 1/2 hr before patient was free due to rough terrain. Engine 22 handled the LZ, Stat MedEvac flew patient to trauma center with moderate injuries. Captain 1 had command. Fire With Multiple Rescues in Frederick Md. 


Frederick County Box alarm 1-8 sounded at 17:45 for fire in an apartment, 1475 Key Parkway in west Frederick. First arriving E1 O/S with smoke visible, and multiple people on balconies. 

Units had fire in second floor apartment, with multiple balcony rescues effected. 1 alarm (upgraded for entrapment), with a rapid intervention dispatch.

Entrapment On York Road

Units were dispatched west of New Oxford on the York Road between Coleman and New Chester Roads for a crash with entrapment. A tractor trailer vs passenger vehicle with entrapment in the PV. The occupant was extricated prior to the rescue companies arrival. Photo by Bryan Felix

Early Morning Entrapment

An early morning Adams County crash in Conewago Township brought firefighters and EMS  from S.A.V.E.S. along with ALS from Hanover Hospital to the intersection of Black Lane and Oxford Road for a two vehicle crash with one entrapped. One occupant was extricated from the black car by Rescue 29 and transported to area hospital for further care. Chief 29 had command. Photos by Bryan Felix

Heavy Entrapment on 94

United Hook and Ladder Fire Dept. as well as mutual aide companies are working a crash on Route 94, the Carlisle Pike near Hanover Toyota where a passenger can and tractor trailer collided just before 06:00 hours this morning. An extrication is in progress on the passenger car to free an occupant.
