Tanker Truck Burns On Interstate 81

A petroleum tanker truck crashed and burned Thanksgiving Day on Interstate 81 near Chambersburg Pa. Firefighters arrived to find a fully involved tanker spreading into the woods. Unknown status of the driver as of this morning. Photo by 911 Photography contributing photographer Shane Shifflet

The 24 Hour Fire

dsc_1366A propane truck rolled over, slitting open and caught fire early Wednesday morning in Jackson Township, York County along Lake Road. Firefighters arrived to find a truck over the guard rail on fire with the driver in the cab. A fire police officer assisted the driver to safety. Fire Departments from at least two counties were and are still on scene for 24 hours while the fire “burns itself out”. York County Haz Mat was also on scene. Photo gallery by Bryan Felix

United Hook and Ladder Fire Dept. as well as mutual aide companies are working a crash on Route 94, the Carlisle Pike near Hanover Toyota where a passenger can and tractor trailer collided just before 06:00 hours this morning. An extrication is in progress on the passenger car to free an occupant.

Hanover and Penn Twp. Fire & EMS along with Hanover Borough Police responded to the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Industrial Drive for a car reported off a bridge. On arrival a SUV was in the grass after going down a small embankment, wiping out a street sign.
